History, Culture, Heritage, Statistics, and Stories of Lacrosse

CLHOF

Lacrosse Bibliotheque

Start here, a portal to all things lacrosse, including the digital archives of the CLHOF.

The Omnibus has links to content across all four CLHOF Websites as well as second pary sites including Old School Lacrosse, CrosseCheck, Vintage Lax, Wikipedia and Sports Halls of Fame that have honoured lacrosse players builders and teams.

There will be much more content added in the coming months. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy it in its present state (approx. 15,000 entries as of August 2025).

The Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame is proud to have been asked by Larry Power to preserve his legacy work “Power’s Bible of Lacrosse.”

We have captured his original work and expanded it here with additional information and artifacts from the Archives of the CLHOF:

  1. Use the “Bible of Lacrosse” Menu above for a view of the ‘Legacy’  Bible of Lacrosse reconstructed according to Larry’s wish.
  2. Use the “Lacrosse Bibliotheque” Menu above to access the “Omnibus” – an index systems into everything Lacrosse – a searchable form to find everything we know from our Power’s legacy, our archives, Stan Shillington’s Whos Who in Lacrosse, lacrosse greats in all Sports and Lacrosse Halls of Fame (including our own) and link to partner sites and other 3rd party lacrosse sites.

Canadian Lacrosse Magazine

The site for news and views of lacrosse history – then and now – through stories, pictures, videos and vignettes.

Short accounts of something interesting or humorous related to the great game of lacrosse.

The short stories are from players, fans, reporters, and others, with each giving an account of  lacrosse related incidents.

Old School

Lacrosse

Compared to most other sports, remarkably little is known today about the great lacrosse stars from yesteryear when  lacrosse – and not hockey – captivated the attention and won the hearts and minds of sports fans in Vancouver, New Westminster, and the rest of the Lower Mainland.

Old School Lacrosse is a place to discover and tell the story of these great players and pioneers from a century ago, their photographs, and their relevance to the history of lacrosse in the province of British Columbia and in Canada.

Celebrate the greatest of our sport and their achievements through our Wall of Fame and Museum.

Our Game.

Our Heritage.
